Welcome to The Snow Bird Chronicles!

Live a Long, Fulfilling, and Epic Retirement

Hey! I’m Woody, your Chief Guide Officer for retirement.

You just did something great. You signed up for The Snowbird Chronicles, and let me tell you — we’re thrilled.

How thrilled? Picture this:
Woody (you’ll hear a lot about him) nearly spilled his coffee doing a happy dance. Someone shouted, “We’ve got a new one!” like we just won the lottery, and our intern? Well, they tried to high-five the office plant. It didn’t high-five back.

Okay, maybe we’re getting carried away. But seriously, we’re so excited you’re here.

Why? Because you’re part of a community now.
A community for folks like you — Boomers who believe life’s best years are right now. Twice a week, we’ll be dropping into your inbox with stories, ideas, and tips to make the most of your retirement:

  • Live Longer: Practical health and wellness tips.

  • Enjoy More: Adventures, travel, and things to try.

  • Stay Informed: Current events on new trends (yes, even crypto and AI).

  • Connect: Advice on relationships and building a community.

No fluff. No overwhelm. Just thoughtful, easy-to-read emails to inspire and maximize your golden years.

Help us, help you.
We want this to be your newsletter. Hit reply to this email and tell us:

  • What are you most excited to learn or try in retirement?

The Story Behind SBC

This newsletter started with Woody.

Woody is 62 years young. For 40 years, he worked as a writer, telling stories big and small that shaped the world. Every summer, he’d soak up the warmth in Chicago. Every winter, he’d pack up the car, hit the open road, and chase the sunshine all the way to Florida. Life was good — two homes, endless road trips, and plenty of memories.

But as Woody approached retirement, something felt off.

The world around him was changing faster than ever.

  • Social media felt like a shouting match.

  • Google searches buried him in too much information.

  • Everyone had an opinion on what it means to live well — but none of it felt made for him or his generation.

One quiet Saturday morning, Woody sat by his kitchen window with a cup of coffee. As the sun rose, he reflected on what mattered most:

“How can I make these years my best years yet? How can I live longer, feel financially secure, build deeper connections, and give back to the next generation?”

That’s when it hit him: “What if there were one simple, thoughtful newsletter that answered those questions? Two emails a week with the stories, ideas, and advice to help people like me live better lives — without all the noise.”

Woody’s vision was clear. He wanted to build a newsletter that helped his generation:

  • Live Longer: Practical health, wellness, and longevity tips.

  • Feel Financially Secure: Smart strategies for making their money last.

  • Build and Maintain Connections: Ideas to strengthen family bonds, reconnect with old friends, and create new relationships.

  • Give Back: Ways to share their wisdom and time with the younger generations who look up to them.

And just like that, The Snowbird Chronicles was born. What started as Woody’s spark of an idea has become a growing community for people like you — people who are ready to make these years their best years yet.

We hope every piece of content we create will inspire you to live a more epic life. If it doesn’t, just reply to any email you receive from The Snow Bird Chronicles and tell us how you feel.
